Don't waste your time. I was up there the weekend before labor day.
I went looking for the badest trail around and was told the same thing.
So we rode the RR grade 40 miles instead of doing the spider loops where we were camping to find this BAD trail.
Went all the way up to clam lake. Didn't hit the backside loop but we put on 90 miles before we turned around. Only found two mudholes.
Granted they were DEEEP but the rest of the trail I can see better in MN. It's really all pretty flat and just a bunch of little hard bottomed puddles.
It was a nice trail but nothing I would travel to see again.
The only LARGE mudhole was way too wet to play in. there was about 15' of water and then DEEP swamp up the highlines. just too wet this year and probably not supposed to ride there anyway.
I have heard the spider loops and that southwest a little more have more hills and terrain.
The first hole in this vid was up near clam lake.
Have Fun!
