Hey Mate I saw your post on the fuel tank breather.
Did you ever find out where the little sucker is?
As i am having some problems with mine.

 

Nope, I never did find it. I forgot I even posted this... haha.

 

The fuel vent filter is located under the rear plastics and is a b-witch to get to. It supposedly needs to be replaced (not cleaned) every 1000 miles. I have changed it a couple of times accessing it behind the battery compartment and just easily prying up the rear plastics. You would think CanAm would have located it in an easy-to-service spot. I have ordered a couple vent filters and some plastic tubing to see if I can relocate to a more accessible area. I get whistling through the vent line when I ride on hot days here in Arizona.

 

Would you be able to take a photo of where it is? We have 2 machines with over 3500 miles on each and they have never been changed. Thank you for the reply.

 

I'd be glad to but that will require a lot of tearing down of the rear plastics, so that will have to wait until I get ready to service the breather. In the meantime, the breather is located on top of the fuel tank and behind the seat, behind the battery tray. You can almost see it by looking under the right-side wheel well. The vent lines are clear tubing. The breather is white.

Hello! Here is your picture. The fuel breather is actually under the battery tray. I don't think you need to remove the rear plastics. That didn't help me at all today. You will find 6 bolts that hold the tray in place. Remove all 6 and lift the rear of the tray to reveal the breather. I used a clamp to hold the tray up while I changed the breather. Be sure to make note of the directional arrow! Hope this helps you.

 

I found the issue with mine and it was not the Filter, it was the check / one way valves before the filter!
The hose comes off the top of the tank and into a T piece.
One check valve is for fuel venting and the other is for breathing (in).
