Has anyone tried out the new G-Force C12 belts? I have read lots of good reviews of the G-Force 30G3750. The new part number is 30C3750. Apparently it has a carbon fiber tensile that has never before been used in a CVT belt.

I found this

Just curious if anyone has taken the plunge on one of these belts?

Looks more like an advertisement than a review. Would like to see some personal real world use. May have to check the local parts store for a price though. A little curious.

Gates G-Force belt is great.

I did a considerable amount of research and spoke directly with a Gates Rep.
It appears Gates "G-Force belt" has proven to be a cost effective replacement for many OE belts.
G-Force
There's been lots of buzz on the net regarding their durabilty and pricing.
Priced out a Can-am Belt at the dealer $141 plus tax
Gates G-Force
Napa: over the counter cost $65.99/ my cost $56.69
Carquest over the counter cost $75.00/ My cost $51.99

And for you Can-am owners.
Can-am's latest belt are now produced by Gates

I am almost positive that Gates does not supply the new belts for Can-Am. They are still MBL and exspensive.

Can you order the new C12 through Napa?? Are they carrying this line? Price?
The Gates rep confimed they are making a line of Belts for Can-am. Regardless of that fact if they hold up as well or better than the over prices factory belt then its a sweet deal thats easy on the pocket book too.

Both Napa and Carquest In Ontario Canada carry all the Gates recreational line of Belt products.

We'll have to see how the belt pans out.
I'll be hauling wood and racking up some recreational KMs on my machine over the next few weeks. Updates to follow

Cheers

picked up a G-Force for Oriley's the other day. Believe it was right at $57 over the counter. Total was about $62.

QSC is recommending the G-Force belt as they have had good results with their racing applications and hard trail riding. Waiting on my clutch to come in before I try out the Gates belt.

Long term testing by a member of the forum would be good, from the first install to how and where they ride.

Found it for $99 through thunder products 320-597-2700 and he actually has them in stock so I have one on the way. Everywhere else had to order it. He said he has been selling them to a guy down south that has a 200+hp turbo outlander and the guy loves them.....anyone on here? Has someone been keeping this secret.

Anyone have a NAPA number for these. I could probably get them cheaper. we do 1/4 million in parts from them in auto repairs a year. Plus My Girlfriends father is the regional manager of Napa.

I called them and they can only cross it to a gates 3750 and it just comes up as "belt" he's saying it's 13.55 cost. I don't think they are getting it that cheap!! Most likely wrong part #.

I need the NAPA part # if anyone has it.

I used the "C" they just dont have a listing for it yet, I had them call gates direct and they do not have a part # for NAPA available is what I was told.

I'm in no hurry, whenever it comes in I will dynotest it to see what happens. at least I can see any RWHP changes and top speed changes vs the stocker. I'll post the results.

Thats awesome John. The carbon fiber cord isnt suppose to stretch at all under load, so that might show up as positive horsepower gains. It will be interesting to see your results.

Found this review to be good reading.

Gates G-Force Belt Review | ATV-UTVTECH.COM

Starting to question whether its worth an extra $40 for the Carbon Belt 30C7530 or stick with the 30G7530

So far the 30G7530 is working great.

I got a call from Gates Corp. today and they are sending me in the Gforce c-12 belts for testing for both the Can Am and the Kawasaki's. I'll have a dyno and trail report soon as they get here.

I also ordered it from that Link above (royal distributing), but they said they do not even have it in stock yet to send out and it was a mistake they had that part # listed... They wanted me to just cancell my order...now I see why!! Instead of 42.00 like it was.... price has gone up!!!

John,
I think there were a few people getting the G-Force belts mixed up as the 30G3750 has always been around $42
and any listing for the Carbon belt 30C3750 has been around $80

I currently have the 30G3750 and very happy with it so far and from reading other useres comments on different forums it appears to be holding up well.

Cheers

Even at that price, it is still cheaper than OEM by $50 where I am at. If it turns out to be a better performing belt with better life expectancy from strenuous use, its money well spent and a win win for the consumer.

is it the one shown here with the Napa cover?

I'm just asking coz its a different cover with the same part#
If someone could confirm I would appreciate it

Also which other places are selling it besides Napa and Carquest in Canada?

I recieved an email from my gates rep here in Canada and he has indicated they are in the process of getting the NEW carbon belt 30C7350 out to the consumer market.

He's been advised the current estimated timeframe before these belts will be sold to the consumer is approximately 3 weeks.

Hope this clears up some confusion on whether you're currently purchasing the current available belt 30G3750 or the new Carbon belt 30C3750

Cheers

I received mine thru thunder products and I have to say it looks sweet. The cord in the belt is definitely different looking than any other cord in a CVT belt I have seen. Cant wait to get some miles on it this weekend.

Distribution in Canada is always running behind. :th_smiliefrustrated

I sent a gates belt to /// adam last week. He has tested and blown up every belt on the market with a commander on a dynon (except the gates). He has test data for them too. He is going to post the results for the gates on highlifter.

I've dynotuned my machine for probably 400 miles so far!! testing and mapping out full pipe, slipon pipe, digituner, PC5, Tune Monster, Clutching. still on the OEM stock belt. I know the OEM has stood the test, we'll see how the gates hold up

Here's the belts. carbon fiber and kevlar. you can easily see the kevlar cord and the carbon fiber weave in the belts. that appears the only change was the belt cord material. same top rubber and middle ribbed cord.

I'll post up in my section soon as I get these on there. I'll have trail and dyno testing results.
