Hard to say from the video but there are a lot of moving parts in the engine and it just sounds normal to me. Can-Am machines in general make a fair amount of noise but we put up with it due to the extra power compared to most brands ;)

Ok thanks, my neighbor has a outlander 650 and his doesn’t make that noise, that’s why I’m curious about the ticking noise maybe I’m just over thinking it

Go over it with a mechanic's stethoscope or a screwdriver held to your ear .

Yes it is louder at the rear cylinder, when I had the valve covers off the timing chain was not loose at all, it seemed pretty tight. I tried the screwdriver trick but I only heard the ticking noise near the injectors and on the middle of the cylinder, nothing on the valve covers

As long as this ticking does not get louder I'd just leave it until u see a good mechanic one day. As was mentioned before some of those engines are 'noisy' or make all sorts of noises.

Pay close attention to the condition of your drained oil .

Thanks guys, I will pay attention to oil and pay attention to the engine

From here, that almost sounds like "normal" injector firing ticks. Hearing as how it doesn't get louder with RPM, makes it easier to rule out valve train or internal engine issues. I know the 1000cc injectors are different than the 650s, might help explain why your neighbors bike doesn't sound the same

Yes I thought it was the injectors also but sometimes it sounds like a metallic noise, my coworker has a 2016 outlander 1000 and his doesn’t sound like that, we put both bikes side by side and there was a noticeable difference in sound between the two, that’s why I’m stumped the bike only has 1400kms
