This thing has the most HP of any SxS at 88hp and can go over 70 mph. you can see a vid on the Polaris site

No trouble...$2500 Canadian more then a 1000XT and that is without a winch or bumpers. Plus its a Popo.:smilietwocents:

YouTube - Can-Am Commander 1000 0-73 Mph, 21 Seconds
check out airdam's cvtech vid on the commander on you tube, watch the complete vid and watch the tach of the stock vs cvtech...huge difference in shifting..stock labours to get to 7500rpm+...the cvtech shfits straight to 7500 and creeps to 8000..

I'm glad there is some competition. Maybe it will bring the prices back to reality. Why should a SxS cost as much as a small car?

That looks very cool. Nice ride.

More money, less accessories from stock, 6-7 inches wider so no good for trail riding. And it's a popo. Plus it is fugly.

I say the new name for popo is pos.

Junk.

Plus it may be a bit more horse power. But doesn't 1000 sound so much better than 900. Lol

Just in general. Everyone who wants more power in an outlanders is asking for a 1000 motor. Not a 900. Lol

Bad marketing on polaris's part.

At least they finally put a decient motor in it. I still like the V-twinn motor better but at least this motor is an over head cam motor. I am not over joyed about the trailing arm set up. It isn't as good of a set up as the Commanders for woods riding.

There are things I like about the Commander better like the motor, better engine brakeing, better trailing arms for woods riding, better roll cage.

But, I like the RZR better for less weight, no electronic throttle control, the engine is in a better place, lower seat height, lower center of gravity, handles better, body is more narrow.

Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

Couldn't agree more. :th_smiliethumbsup:

No matter how fast the Commander is straight line, it will still never outhandle a RZR. But you can't haul anything in a RZR. So you have to decide what fits your needs. It's nice to have choices.

Just watched the video on popo's site. 1st - love the dubbed in "nascar" sound. 2nd - those lower arms holding the trailing arms are history in the mud (stumps and abandoned popos) or rocks.

Not a popo hater, actually like my cuz's RZR, just glad it's his.

ummm i dont really think this rzr was made for mud or trails. so i think to trailing arms will be fine if u use it what it was made for. its for the west coast dessert and thats where most will be sold. but i think that this motor will find its way into other rzr model soon within the next year. but i think its kinda cool that they have more horsepower with 100 less CCs

I think comparing this to the commander is almost like comparing the ford raptor to the dodge powerwagon.

I doubt you will see the engine as it is in the other RZR models. They had to stretch the frame it to make it fit the XP.
