Hey guys looking at maybe getting a 2022 outlander max limited. There seems to be very little info and reviews on these even the older ones. Not seeing much on here either.

Any owners want to chime in on how you like the machine?

Thanks guys

Welcome to the site

As I'm sure you're aware, "Limited" appears to be just another package for the outlander, same shocks as the XT-P machines, same bumpers as the XT. Looks like ya get a slightly taller tire, 27", same power steering, same power plant, for that matter, as any other outlander. Nifty lookin seat and rims, is about all I can see that sets it apart.

Riding 2 up is great. The way the seat is shaped it really cradles you. It does take a little getting used to but it's great and gets better as they learn to lean with you. On a 2up model the passenger input is not as critical as on a single seater but if your rolling out it does help. Plus it lets them be apart of the action.

There are only 2 very small things I've noticed:

The passenger does sit a little higher then the driver, not much but a little. This is the case on all make and models. It doesn't take long to learn the awareness of small branches. I certainly don't mind being the passenger.

The passenger does feel more of the terrain then the operator. Im sure opinions will differ on this but I think so. I found tires @ 7 or 8 PSI helps.

Beadlocks, if I had to guess

Comes down to whether you value the beadlock wheels with the 26" ITP's on the XT-P vs the larger Bighorn 2.0's on non-beadlock wheels (and the nicer seat) of the Limited, or vice-versa. Personally, I'm leaning towards the XT-P with the beadlocks.

Do the QS3s come on the limited also?

It's good to see you have the option!

Love my XT-P but the Limited is really nice!
Yes, same Fox QS3 shocks as what's on your XT-P.

Nice - im still working with the QS3s to find the prefered sweet spot. They are nice. We mostly ride fast trail. I was concerned about the lack of rebound adjustment, thinking that these shocks would pack up but that hasn't been the case. Not as nice as the RC2s but so far they have been good and the simplicity hasn't hindered their ability - surprisingly. Beadlocks are really nice - rings should be orange though.

Either machine will serve you very well.

The only difference between the 1000xt p and the limited are the tires and color. XT P gets 26” tires on bead locks and the limited gets 27” tires on none bead locks. I went with the limited because I liked the color scheme and a little extra clearance that the 27” tires provide.
