well i guess i dont need to ask about mudder tires, lift kit & wheel spacers on my outlander now.. i went to the dealer 2day & got accepted for a new commander xt1000. im tradin in my outlander! i really hope i dont go through 4wheeler withdraw, this is a big step 4 me. but i do have my fourtrax 250r if i need to ride a quad.
how did you guys feel when you went from a 4wheeler to a sxs? does it feel like your still riding or just drivin your car through the woods?

Love my commander. And loved the outlander too.But The commander is a different ride.It will climb like a goat, had to pull my brothers renegade X up a hill that I just went up.Its fast, pulls strong to 74 mph.(not gps).Haul all my gear and everyone else gear too.And lots of firewood too

I just bought one too!! lol I got the 2012 commander 1000 limited ("pure magnesium").
I had it for a week now and i LOVE it!! Stereo is LOUD, GPS is pretty cool and the air ride suspension is awsome! It actually lifts the bike a couple inches when its on the higer settings. I came with 14in rims. 27in big horns, roof, half windsheild, rear net/mesh, 4 speaker stero with ipod/mp3 hook up in the glove box, Touch screen GPS that is removable (Garmin montana 650t with built in camera) , 4000# winch with remote, built-in compressor with an air line, 2" hitch reciever....what else....oh yeah, it has this "sport" switch that im not too sure what it does..all i know is it pulls alot harder when "sport mode" is activated.

so when the sport mode is OFF it will smooth out the "un-intentional" spikes in the throttle position sensor? And thats it? It doesn't do any timming changes or anything like that to get more power from the motor? Also, do all commanders have this?

oh yeah, one more thing...do you know if the bolt pattern is the same as my renegade 800?? i wouldnt mind putting my rims and tires from my renegade on the commander and possibly studding them for the winter..
