Hey guys i hope im posting this in the right spot. I have been a polaris guy for the last 10 or so years and now I'm making the switch to a Renegade.

I have my eye on a couple. I have talked to both of them and have a price worked out. I just can seem to make up my mind.

Option 1

07 Can-am Renegade 800 4x4. 1231 miles, 146 hrs. 27" Mudlites, fender flares, custom exhaust, snorkeled. Runs great. Good title.

I can purchase this for $5,800 with original tires in addition to the 27s

Option 2

2007 can am renegade 800cc 4x4 has a little over 2k miles with 27 in dirt commander tires and 14in itp wheels. It also has hmf exhaust and hmf optimizer, 09 air filter and custom air box. I would either be at $5250 maybe $5500

I do mostly river bottom trail riding and some low water creek riding depending on the river level here in Nebraska.

Thanks for your thoughts and options on each unit.

In 2009 Can-Am upgraded the airbox and improved flow to the intake.

I more partial to option 1. Less miles on a machine that was designed to be abused. Granted I am loyal to CanAm reliability but still, 2k is pretty damn high in miles....and I dont know any CanAm with highway miles.....beast mode miles. You can always do the airbox mod yourself and post a build thread on here!!!

I sold my '08 Outty with 6000 miles and it was still running strong. When my best friend sold his 07' Renegade it had 11,000 miles on it and all he had to change at 10,000 was the timing chains and guides just because it was time.
Where are you getting your info from?

They're both low mileage machines in my opinion.

I would choose option 2. The fact that the owner made his own custom exhaust and is running relatively "cheap" mudlites it makes me wonder if he spent money on regular maintenance.

I agree with jimbits I would choose option 2. Its closer to stock with a little more miles but a name brand exhaust and fuel programer. Plus you can add on snorkels of any brand and know they are done correctly if you have plans of installing them. 14" rims if you plan to go big tires. In my opinon it is a way better deal. Safer anyway.

Well I made my decision option 1 as long as it all checks out. It's a 2 hr drive...if not I will be driving another 3 hrs for the other one
