The switch starts all the fun. Those switches just go out from time to time. Yours probably isn't throwing a good connection to power the actuator.

 

Would this fix the issue of the light not showing up on the dash next to the gear icon which shows "P,R,N,H,L" and thanks for the help I'm still learning about these side by sides

 

Yes, the 4wd light is illuminated by a little plunger switch in the actuator housing. When the actuator slides the lock collar, it pushes the little dip switch in there, and the light on the cluster pops on. If the switch isn't starting that dance, you won't get the light

 

Thanks I ordered a new switch I'll update after I install it once it arrives.

 

So I've installed the new rocker switch and still nothing, any suggestions on what to do now? I have service scheduled for it as I just purchased the machine but that's two month is from now. And was wanting to use it before then, thanks

 

So something's amiss with the actuator and/or harness/connection. There's a test procedure in the shop manual for it. Have you downloaded your free service manual from here on the site?

 

I have not downloaded it yet, i we'll get it now
