i bought a cheap pump and although the quad started, i got problems again soon. Pump stopped working (blown fuse too). The store changed the pump in warranty. One week later, new pump (same model) gives problems again.
I can hear the pump presurizing the line but the quad doesnt start. (not the normal sound, its doing something, maybe not enough pressure)

Meanwhile, Airtex pump is on the way. Its hard to import things, as i am from Argentina.

But i start to think that the problem may be the "filter" (the black thing between the pump and regulator). I read here that it can be drilled and replaced for an inline filter somewhere before the inyectors.

I cleaned the filter. Soaked in fuel and cleaners, i can blow air from both sides. It seems to flow well.

My concern is that if the filter is causing problems, i dont want to ruin the Airtex like i did with the cheap pump.

Suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english. :thumbsmilie:
I used a cheap pump from high flow fuel.com. It died in three months. The airtex pump will fix all of your fuel problems. I switched and its been rock solid since.

I just got through changing mine today. This forum saved me a lot of money. I used the Airtex pump, got it from Rockauto.com for $32. The right up here is perfect to go by for installation. Did it all in about an 1.5 hours. It did take a few cycles on and off to get it to prime and remove all the air in the ines. After it primed it blew the fuse like some others experienced. I changed it as recommended by others with a 7.5 amp fuse and now it runs perfectly.
