I wish you could just set it at 12.8 to 13.5 and it would hold it there at all rpms without having to worry..
It will as long as auto tune is running. Once you map is made you remove it or eventually the sensors may go bad....Any airbox or pipe mods you hook it back up and do a new map.

I know that nobody in this thread wants me to put in my 2 cents... but... here I am..

If you use my dumb-a$$ idea of a good mod - a fan controller then you will keep your stock ecu happier and be able to keep those A/F's in line easier when the autotune is removed...

Control all variables for the stock ECU before you tune the fuel, you won't be sorry....

Again sorry for ruining this "perfectly good thread"

Is there any proven aftermarket product that removes the speed limiter other then the tune monster. I don't have any mods on the bike yet so don't want the tune monster just want the speed limiter gone hit it way to often for my liking

There is a box that "get torqed" out of Canada sells.

Does it work though I read somewhere else on here that someone tryed it but it didn't work because it was made for the commanders? Different ecu or something? Just don't want to spend money on something that don't work

Do you think they will sell it to you if it doesn't work? Best way to find out is call, I know some guy named Kevin advertised them and had it on his 1000 so I pointed you in the direction is all I can do. As far as I know no one else has tried one out.

With a Tunemonster, a stock bike will go around 96mph, stock clutches.
The Tunemonster also allows total control of fan turn-on & off temp.
No power in the airbox at all, but just a bit maybe in the filter. I removed the filter, & found maybe 1RWHP. Removed the airbox completely, & got nothing.
My cams, when I get them on the market, will add over 20RWHP. Still dynoing different grinds.

Right on I'll try giving them a call thanks

What have you seen for a stock machine with the tune monster. is there gains from timing?

I want the tune monster, but not everyone has it and I have the PCV and digituners pretty well dialed in.

I hit the speed limiter HARD at 78 mph it takes 9-10 seconds to hit it uphill, downhill it doesn't seem to matter.

Only thing I did ti the airbox was remove the foam cover from around the stock filter.

I removed the filter completely and ran it like that. no hp gains. I removed the lid to the air filter. no gains. I even removed the airbox. it required fuel changes, but still no gains. I even tried a AEM intake for a ford focus which fit well. but still no gains.

Soon as you have Cams done, let me know. they are the holdback in this motor for sure.

How about throttle body boring and I see Ron woods has an aluminum commander intake?

85 rwhp this thing would be really untouchable on the trail. it's damn fast now at 71 rwhp. but it can always get better.

John

Very little gains from timing, if any, on a stock motor.
Yes, no gains from the airbox at all, amazing how many people don't believe that.
Intake is really good too, may need one if the motor is larger.

I got my speed override box from get torqued but haven't had a Chance to install it as the bikes at the shop for warranty work already not real happy about that but soon I get it back I'll let you all no how I make out with the box

What's your bike in for? My rear output seal is leaking oil I see.. I looked at rear output seal on my commander 1000 and it's sweating a tiny bit to. That seal may be a problem on these 1000 transfer cases..

Just got back from a ride speed boxes works great what it actually does is when you hit 110kmph it cuts the speed in half and only shows 55 on the dash making the computer think it has lots to go and not triggering the limiter very happy with it at this point thanks get torqued for a great product defiantly deal with them again
